Description
A straight mug covered with a scattering of small daisies.
The white and blue daisies are packed together on a blue background, in a fine, regular decoration in the tradition of Japanese textile patterns. It gives the mug a fresh and delicate look.
Its base left in brown clay makes it look as if it stands on a small plinth. A brown line highlights the rim, and the rounded handle offers a good grip.
The mug is shaped in a mould, then finished by hand; the decoration is applied with transfer paper. The position of the flowers may therefore vary slightly from one mug to another.
It comes from the Toki-Tajimi region, Gifu Prefecture, home of Mino ceramics.
For coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Also available in a large size. Made in Japan.
