Yugen Lab is two shops of Japanese objects: in the centre of Geneva, at 10 place de Grenus, and in Carouge, at 49 rue Ancienne. You will find tableware, teapots, tea boxes, incense, kimonos and decorative objects, selected in Japan.
Place de Grenus is a small, lively corner of the city centre where people like to stroll and have a drink.
In Carouge, the shop is on rue Ancienne, in the heart of Old Carouge: low arcaded houses, hidden courtyards and gardens, fountains… the area has kept a Mediterranean feel that is unique in Switzerland. It is known for its craft workshops and designers, and is best discovered on foot.

Yūgen Lab selects and distributes tableware and home decor from Japan. Eager to share products made in Japan, Yūgen Lab chooses its products on site with a discerning eye and a critical sense of design. The products are carefully made, either by hand by craftspeople or in small factories with Japanese know-how.
Our selection includes modern, refined objects as well as traditional Japanese products for everyday use. Yūgen Lab also welcomes other decorative products from Europe and elsewhere: you will find tea, jewellery, incense, prints by selected artists, and more.
As our concept store is always changing and renewing itself, you will see our displays evolve regularly.

As the Japanese term 'yūgen' suggests, we wish to highlight the subtle charm, the mysterious and profound beauty of each selected piece. 'Lab' refers to the laboratory, and because 'yūgen' is linked to the Arts, our store will be a place of experimentation and constant innovation: we regularly wish to offer the public exhibitions and events.
