Small Japanese Bowl, Whale on a Dark Background

A whale diving into the waves, at the bottom of a small dark bowl.

The outside is covered in blue waves with curling crests on a black background, a dense decoration full of movement.

Inside, a large dark whale appears on the white, surrounded by waves and small dots: it reveals itself as the bowl empties.

At 13 cm in diameter and 7 cm high, it suits rice, soup, vegetables or cereal. Its decoration often delights children.

It completes the shop’s other whale-pattern pieces: soup bowl, deep plate and rice bowl.
