Description
A small bowl striped with blue, with a graphic, contemporary look.
The whole surface is covered with fine indigo lines of short, tight strokes, inside and out. A black rim edges the bowl and a blue line marks the white foot.
This tokusa pattern is inspired by the straight, segmented stems of horsetail, a plant of Japanese gardens. The short strokes recall its segments.
The shape is flared, on a small foot. At 11.8 cm in diameter and 5.5 cm high, it is a bowl for a portion of rice or a side dish.
It belongs to a range: teacups, large bowl and salad bowl share the same decoration.
For rice, miso soup or side dishes. Made in Japan.
