Large Japanese Salad Bowl, Midnight Blue

A deep midnight blue speckled with light reflections: a salad bowl that recalls a starry sky.

The glaze shifts from an almost black blue to lighter shades, with a fine speckle that sparkles in the light. The foot and rim reveal darker tones that highlight the shape of the bowl.

These variations come from the glaze itself: the colour deepens or lightens depending on its thickness and the firing, so each piece has its own nuances. This element of chance gives the bowl an authentic character.

At 21 cm in diameter and 8 cm high, it suits salads, ramen, dishes in sauce or a plate of noodles to share. It works as well as a salad bowl in the middle of the table as it does as a large individual bowl.

Its deep colour brings out greens, reds and yellows: a tomato salad, stir-fried vegetables or a curry look particularly vivid in it.
