Description
A large bowl scattered with small flowers, like a meadow seen from high above.
Hundreds of five-petalled flowers, in blue-grey and white, crowd over the whole surface, linked by fine stems. The drawing is so dense that it forms a texture, almost a printed fabric, and it continues inside the bowl. The white foot is simply marked with two fine blue rings.
This decoration of small repeated flowers belongs to the tradition of Japanese blue and white tableware, where floral patterns often cover the whole piece.
The shape is wide and flared, on a small foot. At 21.2 cm in diameter and 7.5 cm high, it is the same size as the large tako karakusa bowl, with a softer character.
The small flowers fall a little differently from bowl to bowl, without changing the overall look.
For ramen, udon, a donburi or a large salad. Made in Japan.

Frequently asked questions
Can it be matched with the large tako karakusa bowl?
Yes. The two bowls have the same size and a very similar shape: together, they make a blue and white pair with different decorations.
Is the blue the same as on the other blue and white bowls?
It is softer, leaning towards grey, which gives the decoration a lighter look than classic indigo.
