Description
A dark plate where the light glaze flows like a frozen wave.
The background is a finely speckled bluish black. In the centre, a lighter glaze, white and blue-grey, spreads in an irregular flow, like a breaking wave or a passing cloud.
These flows form during firing, when the glaze melts and spreads freely: each piece therefore has its own variations, which gives it a character of its own.
At 23 cm in diameter and with slightly raised edges, it suits fish, rice, vegetables or a dish with a little sauce.
Its dark background creates a strong contrast with light, colourful food and brings a contemporary touch to a Japanese table.
