Description

On a midnight blue background, large red and white koi carp seem to glide beneath the surface of the water. In Japan, the koi carp symbolises perseverance and courage: according to legend, the carp that swims up the waterfall becomes a dragon.
Its wide, flared shape gives it a strong presence in the centre of the table. At 25.5 cm in diameter, it holds a salad, noodles or a dish to share.
It comes from the Toki-Tajimi region, Gifu Prefecture, home of Mino ceramics.
For salads, noodles, ramen or sharing dishes. It goes with the other pieces of the Koi range. Made in Japan.
