Japanese cat face bowls – Set of 5

Five small bowls, with a smiling cat at the bottom of each.

The bottom is decorated with a smiling cat face, revealed as you finish your bowl. On the outside, indigo blue patterns cover the white porcelain: waves, stripes and dots.

The cat is very present in Japanese imagery, from the lucky maneki neko to popular prints.

At 12 cm in diameter, these are small bowls for rice, side dishes or desserts, and children love them too.

They come from the Toki-Tajimi region, Gifu Prefecture, home of Mino ceramics.
