Japanese Mugs, Red and Blue Lines – Set of 2

Two faceted mugs, one streaked with red, the other with blue.

Fine lines start at the rim and run down towards the middle of the mug, in red on one and blue on the other, before giving way to white. The light, graphic decoration gives an impression of movement.

The body is slightly faceted, which catches the light and offers a good grip.

At 8.5 cm in diameter and 9 cm high, they suit tea, coffee or a hot drink.

They come from Hasami, in Nagasaki Prefecture, one of Japan’s main centres for everyday porcelain. A set designed for two: one colour each.
