Description
Three water blue square plates, crossed by fine branches of plum blossom.
On a very pale blue-green background, almost celadon, fine brown branches bear small white flowers. The light, airy decoration brings great softness to the table.
The darker raised edges frame the decoration and reveal brown reflections that highlight the square shape.
In Japan, the plum tree, ume, is the first tree to blossom at the end of winter, sometimes still under snow, well before the cherry tree. Its flowering heralds the return of spring, and its blossom symbolises perseverance and renewal. It is one of the best-loved patterns in Japanese tableware.
At 17.5 cm square and 2.4 cm high, they suit sushi, starters or desserts. They also exist in dark blue in the shop, in the same size.
