Description
A faceted teacup in a deep, glossy green.
The green glaze stops above a base left raw and speckled. This contrast between the luminous green and the bare material recalls traditional Japanese ceramics, where the clay is proudly shown beneath the glaze.
The yunomi is the everyday Japanese teacup: tall and without a handle, it keeps tea hot. This one holds 160 ml.
It comes from the Toki-Tajimi region, Gifu Prefecture, home of Mino ceramics.
For green tea, sencha or genmaicha. Made in Japan.
