Description
“Yukata” means swimwear. Originally, this garment was worn for “onsen”, Japanese hot baths. Nowadays, it is often worn during festivals or special events. Traditional clothing , it is worn by both women and men. The women's garment includes an additional slit on each sleeve, at armpit level. The yukata is pleasant to wear in summer or to stay at home.
The stork motif testifies to the worship that the Japanese devote to nature and the importance they attach to observing it.
