Japanese glazed long plates – Set of 3

Three free-form long plates, in three glazes to choose from.

Turquoise blue: a deep turquoise blue glaze that pools in the centre and darkens towards the edges. Its shades evoke water.

Verdigris: a deep verdigris glaze, lighter in the centre and edged with brown. Its mineral shades give the table a natural character.

Cream and brown: a soft cream centre and raised caramel brown edges. The contrast between the light glaze and the warm border gives them a natural charm.

The three plates in a set have irregular, slightly wavy edges. At 33.5 cm long and 10 cm wide, they hold a row of sushi or a few skewers.

They come from the Toki-Tajimi region, Gifu Prefecture, home of Mino ceramics.

How to use

Line up maki and nigiri, or a few yakitori skewers: one plate per guest, or all three side by side at the centre of the table for drinks.

As for care, hand washing is recommended; the dishwasher is not advised. They are microwave safe.
